Exposure to poison ivy can be a very uncomfortable situation so we have developed a soap to help ease your pain and strip the poison ivy oils off the skin to prevent a rash after being exposed. If you are a gardener or landscaper, this is a soap you should have on hand. This soap is made with goat milk, pine tar, tea tree essential oils and nature’s cure for poison ivy – jewelweed. Jewelweed has a long history of use in Native American medicine having used its sap from the stem and leaves to relieve itching and pain from a variety of ailments, including hives, poison ivy, and other skin sores and irritations. The sap has also been shown to have anti-fungal properties. Goat milk keeps the soap from drying and adds moisture to the skin during use to help alleviate any additional skin irritation. Use the soap as soon as exposure or possible exposure. Wash thoroughly and rinse all areas several times. If the rash has already developed, leave the soap lather on the exposed area for a minute or more before rising. Repeat a few times and do it often until area is cleared of the rash.
